Japan is not the kind of place where you can just go and get a girl easy just because you're a foreigner. I'm in japan now, so I'm speaking from experience. If you want to succeed with women in Japan, you need a few things.
1) nice clothes
2) ability to speak Japanese (this is probably the most important)
3) You have to give an aura of good standing. (ie: wealth, inteligence, health, etc)
4) you have to understand that what is acceptable in America, in terms of appearance, is not acceptable here. Tee shirts, sneakers, sweatpants, hoodies are all out, unless you look fasionable in them.

When I came to Japan with my girlfriend, who is a native japanese, I thought I would be beating girls awy with a stick. I've met a few that were definately interested, but like I said I do okay in America anyway. It's hard to say, as I haven't really spent much time outside tokyo, and in a city like this, the compitition is steep and girls under 25 are uncommon. I didn't come here looking for women, but I won't deny that I was at least interested in seeing what my odds were. I would say, unless you are rich, look for women in smaller cities at least, and try to look better than you thought possible.

True, that's exacly what my friend said..well, not exacly in these words, but I got the idea. I am going to visit Japan next year and wanted to meet this girl that drives me nuts, she is 100% japanese, and as you can imagine, hard to get.
She is like my best friend, and flirts with me almost all the time. But I have a problem understanding her and what she feels. Not the mention that she is 30 T.T

If she is flirting with you and treating you like a kid that means she is willing to be more open with you. That is a good sign. If you really like her you should let her know. If you're going to play with her emotions and just use her for sex~ You might break her heart. I know friends who's been through that. So make sure you make the right decision.

Its defiantly curiosity. The major differences in culture make japanese girls seem more exotic. At least thats what it seems.
