Social Sex

Thought I'd throw out the question as to how everyone thinks about the growing of sex into society. Culturally if people are sophmores in high school, its assumed they've at least gone beyond kissing, and by junior and senior have had one sexual partner. And in college, its assumed more.

I personally think its gettin out of control, especially in the schools

The sex age is getting younger because the entertainment industry and the media has become a sexualized industry. Many children are influence into this form of media growing up.

In today's modern culture, you see a lot of American Hip hop videos containing half naked girls. The girls in the videos are nothing more than sex objects. When young audiences sees this, they'll treat women as object and also look at them as whores and prostitutes. They see girls as sexual beings and not a human being. All they want from them is sex. And when this is the mind set of a young teenager. He/she will be more likely to have sex and treat others or themselves as sexual objects.

yea, thats ture. but in this society u also almost hav to act like that to get any anyway. u hav to be an asshole and act like your shit dont stink. for any1 to take u serious. otherwise ppl take ur friendliness as a weakness.

Uhhh Eiko I think a lot of people see you as sexual object, I mean you get your money modeling no offense or nothin....you kind of work right in it all

I agree with you Eiko. ANd I agree with franq, your job is part of it. but let's face it, sex is always soemthing people want. Even when you're older sex is on your mind. The media plays a big role but so does human curiosity. This is especially with younger people. I think it doesn't matter. It's people living life and as long as they don't treat the person as a sex object and they use condums I think it shouldn't be a huge taboo.

yeah Im shallow when it comes to movies either it has action and no plot or im lights out..

I agree with that. I know condums aren't the answer and you have to be careful no matter what. That's why I don't think a person should do it all the time. I don't care if It's something you did with your gf or bf once or twice but whern you start wanting it all the time and being a really shallow kind or person that's when things need to be fixed with that person's personality. But I agree about the seriousness. It should be something that you don't fear or are ashamed of or soemthing like that. lol

It does make me a sexual objection. Because it caters to the (male gaze). But my message and my modeling don't degrade women like certain women objectifications. For example, I was explaining about the girls in the hip hop videos. They are treated like whoes and prostitute. Because in the videos the girls are only there because of the (money). You can see in the videos the rappers would stuff money into these girls panties and pour alcohol down their breast and crotch. These girls in the videos are degrading women~

My modeling doesn't degrade women. It actually impowers women. I've been taught to look into the photographer~ looking into the camera, when you look at my pictures, you have to make eye contact with me~ because in the picture Im looking straight back at you. In that sense you're looking at me as a human being and not as an object. Im giving you eye contact. So when you're staring at me, Im also staring at you~ Im not an object that will look away. And some photographs are very sexual but they don't degrade women.

im a virgin too. im not ashamed of it. and i kno i would be ashamed of it if i wasnt either. lol. when it happens it happens and thats all.

I do agree with what you said there. About the impowering I disagree with though.

I only disagree with it because it makes the person of the opposite sex attracted only for the beauty and the person of the same sex wishing they looked like that.

For example, wish I looked like a male model sometimes because social situations would be less focused on looks... but I don't want to be liked only for my looks.

Although I do like that thing about looking into the camera.. that is a really interesting point. XD ^^
